Can you believe it is back to school already!?!? For many of us it looks a lot different right now, but hey, we are teachers and we are made to adapt and go with the flow! We know this better than any other profession!
One of the biggest things for me when it came time for back to school is that I wanted to get everyone back into the groove of things before I actually started to teach my curriculum. There is nothing more frustrating than having to reteach parts of a lesson because no one is paying attention or students’ schedules keep changing… therefore so do your classes! Remember at the start of the school year students are excited to see everyone, get to know their new teachers and friends as well as needing time to adjust back into the swing of things after summer vacation.
Another reason that I do a project at the start of the year is that I want to get the students thinking in French again! This will help them when I begin teaching the curriculum and the content I need to get through. We have to brush off those cobwebs from the summer!
One of my favorite projects is The Regions of France. This gets the students feet wet back into the French language and allows them to learn about some French culture all at the same time. Who doesn’t love that!

As always, I hope that you have found this information useful and helpful to you!
