Joyeux Action De Grâce!

Fun Thanksgiving Activity For Students To Use Their French!

Fun Thanksgiving Activity For Students To Use Their French!

Can you believe it is almost Thanksgiving!?!? Where did this year go! For many of us this has been a very crazy year, with all the ups and downs, twists and turns, it has created an interesting year to be a teacher! Or any other profession at that!  Teaching during a pandemic has sure made things challenging and rewarding at the same time…BUT we are doing it and we are doing great!

One thing I know for sure is that this year has taught me what I am truly thankful and grateful for! I think we could all use a little time to stop and think about what we are thankful for this year, including our students. It is always important to see the positive and the good during hard times. It doesn’t have to be anything grand, it simply can be the little things that we are thankful for this year. 😊

A fun way to have students say what they are thankful for is with the Turkey Hand Activity. This is a great activity that can be used around Thanksgiving to have students practice their French while being creative!  Students are able to create a Turkey Hand in French, describing what they are thankful for this year. This is such a neat way to see what your students are thankful for and to get to know a little more about what is important to them. I think the more we get to know our students interests, it always helps build a better rapport with them! Students enjoy it when their teachers take time to know them!

*There is a lower level and upper level version of the activity, as well as how to turn this into a speaking activity for students.

You can find this item for sale on my TPT Store and more!

P.S. – I wish ALL of you a very HAPPY and HEALTHY Thanksgiving!
