Need some fun activities to start off the school year? But don’t want to dive right into the curriculum? I get it! Been there and done that!
The first two weeks of school there is always so much shifting and change between getting new students, schedule adjustments, and more! Plus, we really just want to get our students back into the swing of things!
I always like to start the new school year off reviewing with my students using fun games or activities or even French project activity.
Here are some great activities that you can use in your classroom to get your students back into the swing of things!
Choice Board:
This is an activity or lesson that can be used for students to practice their vocabulary.
There is a lower level and upper level version included.
As an activity you can give the assignment to the students to complete outside of class and have them turn it in on a later date.
As a lesson it will take approximately 2-3 days to complete. This all depends on the level of your class, how many of the activities you would like the students to complete or how many days you would like to dedicate class time for the students to complete the activity.
Stations Activity:
This is a lesson/activity that can be used for students to review certain topics in French including verbs, subject pronouns, sentence structure, days of the week, months and more! You can have students complete the activity individually or in groups. This is a great way to start off the school year, after a long break or just for some fun review to get students back into the groove with their French.
This lesson will take approximately 1 day to complete, depending on the level of your class.
Les Régions de la France Project:
This is a lesson/project that can be used for students to get to know the regions of France. Students are to complete the project individually and then present their project to the class. This is a great way to start off the school year and get students back into the groove with their French.
This lesson will take approximately 5-6 days to complete, depending on the level of your class.
French Games Bundle:
