If you are like me, I always like finding new and creative ways to assess my students’ language learning. There are many other ways we can assess our students that do not involve your typical quiz or test.
Some of my favorite ways to assess my students are with the use of projects!
Why?
There are many reasons why:
- It gives my overachiever students a break from an average test or quiz. It takes the academic pressure off of them for a bit!
- It gives my students who don’t fair well on tests and quizzes an opportunity to be creative and to shine!
- They are much more fun to grade and you really get to see your students flourishing using the language they are learning!
Here are some of my favorite projects that I use with my students:
-
Puppet Show Presentation
-
Une Personne Francophone Célèbre Projet
-
Children’s Book Project
-
News Report Project
-
C’est Moi! Presentation
-
Les Régions De La France Projet
