I 100% get it!

It’s something about the arrival of spring that has our students LITERALLY forget how to behave in a classroom environment!

I know for many of us, the first thing to go is our rules, our expectations, etc., it all becomes too exhausting. And you honestly just want to make it through the day.

I know so many of you are SOOOOO TIRED! And truthfully, at the end of your ropes. These last few years have been hard. I mean REALLY hard!

The constant change of demands, rules, expectations, guidelines, protocols, etc.

It can all become so overwhelming.

Especially for our students…

And how do students express their anxiety, frustrations, uneasiness….

🚨 They Act.Out.Big.Time! 🚨

The best thing we can do as teachers is to hold our boundaries with our students.

What this looks like is expecting the same from each and every student in regard to our classroom rules and expectations.When students know what to expect they will feel more comfortable and confident in the classroom.

Here are some of the resources I use in my classroom to help my students know what is expected each and every day. From our warm up to our ticket out the door and my classroom management resources I use daily:

One of the best things you can do for you and your students right now is to keep the routine. Keep those rules and expectations in place. It will make the end of the year go much more smoothly and be less of a headache too!
