Want a way to review vocabulary with students in class?
Review vocabulary is one of the hardest topics to review with students. It is one of those things that they somewhat have to do on their own due to the memorization of words.
But what if there was a way that you could help them out?
Have students complete the Choice Board Activity!
This is a great way to not only give students a choice with what activities they can complete, but get them using and practicing their vocabulary.
- I start by creating a board with 9-12 activities that will help students understand and comprehend the content better.
- From there, depending on the level, I have students complete so many of the activities.
- For example in a 7th grade French class, I would have them choose roughly 3-4 activities for them to complete.
- For an 11th grade French class, I would have them choose roughly 7-8 for them to complete.
- Want to get your students to complete more of the activities??? (Of course you do! What kinda question was that 😜)
- I always tell the students they can do more than assigned for extra credit. That way in a roundabout way I get them to do more! Which is not only beneficial for the teacher (who secretly gets them to do if not more or all of the activities) but it is good for the students too because they are practicing with the content more.
You can find the Choice Board Activity and more for sale on my TpT Store.
*All activities and resources are available as a PDF or Easel Activity to help better meet the needs of you and your students!
This is also a great activity to use on or around a holiday. It is a way to still have students engaged with the language but also have a little fun and freedom.
Let me know if you give this activity a try with your students!
As always, I hope that you have found this information useful and helpful to you! 💜
Merci,
Amanda
