Are you feeling overwhelmed, stressed and possibly burnt out with all that you have to do day in and day out?
All the grading, the emails, the lesson planning, making copies, uploading material, etc. 😩
It can all become too much and you feel like you are barely staying afloat. You could really use some extra time during your day to get things done…but how?
What if I told you there was a way that you could get some of this done during class time? 🤔
Yes, I said DURING CLASS TIME.
Did I catch your attention?!?! Good, I’m glad!
One of the ways that I would catch up on grading, emails, lesson planning or other things I was able to do in my classroom is that I would give students independent work or projects to work on.
While they work on their assignment quietly, you can get things done to… WITHOUT feeling guilty!
So, if you feel you need some extra time at work to get things done, give your students something to work independently on.
It is a nice break for you and students to just relax, chill and to do something quietly. Most students like the change of pace (their schedules are just as packed as ours it seems now a days), plus I let them listen to music while they work and that is a game changer! It always amazes me how they work better when they listen to music. Something about it just calms them and helps them focus.
Not sure what to give them?
