GOBBLE, GOBBLE, GOBBLE!
Can you believe Thanksgiving is next week! Mon Dieu! Where did the time go!
As teachers the months of November and December always seem to fly by…and there always seems like there is so much to do! Not only in our classrooms, but in our personal lives as well.
As a teacher are you looking for a fun activity to do with your students about the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday?
Around the holidays, I always like to reflect upon what I am truly thankful and grateful for! I think we could all use a little time to stop and think about what we are thankful for this year, including our students. It is always important to see the positive and the good when there is so much negativity. It doesn’t have to be anything grand, it simply can be the little things that we are thankful for! Family, friends, a warm cup of coffee, a pet, etc. 😊
A fun way to have students say what they are thankful for is with the Turkey Hand Activity. 🦃
This is a great activity that can be used around Thanksgiving to have students practice their French while being creative! (You can use this in any language or grade level!)
Students are able to create a Turkey Hand in French, describing what they are thankful for this year. This is such a neat way to see what your students are thankful for and to get to know a little more about what is important to them.
I think the more we get to know our students’ interests, it always helps build a better rapport with them! Students enjoy it when their teachers take time to know them!
*There is a lower level and upper level version of the activity, as well as how to turn this into a speaking activity for students.
You can find this activity 10% off today and tomorrow on my TPT Store!
As always, I hope that you have found this information useful and helpful to you!
Merci,
Amanda
P.S. – I wish ALL of you a very HAPPY and HEALTHY Thanksgiving! 🦃
