I always love to celebrate the holidays in my classes with students. It is a fun way to still practice the French language but it just makes for a chill and creative day with students.
Here are my favorite activity to use with students for Valentine’s Day! 💜
Saint-Valentin Activity (Valentine’s Day) – Valentine’s Day Card
This is a fun way to use the French language and be creative on or around Valentine’s Day.
Students are to write and decorate a valentine in French to someone special to them.
This could be a family member, friend, teacher, coach, etc.
When students are finished, they can give their valentine to the person who wrote it too!
Valentine’s Day BINGO – Saint-Valentin BRAVO
This is a fun way to learn and review Valentine’s Day vocabulary.
Vocabulary list included.
Here are some famous French quotes about love that are truly timeless that I always enjoy sharing with students. It is a great way to incorporate authentic materials during class time and discuss each quote and the meaning behind them.
“Aimer, ce n’est pas se regarder l’un l’autre, c’est regarder ensemble dans la même direction.”
– Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
(“Love does not consist in looking at each other, but rather in, together, looking in the same direction.”)
“C’est cela l’amour, tout donner, tout sacrifier sans espoir de retour.”
– Albert Camus
(“That is love, to give away everything, to sacrifice everything, without the slightest desire to get anything in return.”)
“Il n’y a qu’un bonheur dans la vie, c’est d’aimer et d’être aimé.”
– George Sand
(“There is only one happiness in life: to love and be loved.”)
Joyeuse Saint-Valentin mes amis! ❤️
As always, I hope that you have found this information useful and helpful to you!
