Here's the One Secret To Verb Conjugations That You Need To Know

PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!

REPETITION, REPETITION, REPETITION!

Verb conjugations… they either get it or it can be a struggle!

To all my world language teachers out there…YOU know what I am talking about!

Whether you are teaching present tense -er, -ir or -re verbs all the way to teaching the subjunctive, all of our students can use a little practice from time to time.

One way that I like to help my students with verb conjugations is giving them my verb chart worksheet. This is an easy and no prep resource for students.

Here is the simple Verb Chart for notes that I use with my students ALL the time! I have them keep this in the front of their binder or folder. Yes, I said binder or folder. Having 1:1 devices is great, but sometimes we just need to take things old school and use pen and paper. When it comes to conjugating verbs, this is a pen and paper activity in my class. If you write it, you remember it! (Honestly, my students almost always prefer this way too, they can get burnout from doing everything on their device all day everyday.)

As teachers, we are always looking for simple ways to help our students out! This resource is a super simple way to get students to understand and conjugate verbs in French or any world language for that matter!

This activity lays everything out for you to have students conjugate the necessary verb in multiple tenses, such as, présent, passé composé, imparfait, futur & two for your choice.

Have students keep these in their folders/binders or on a digital online folders for easy reference.

*Sometimes I let students use them for quizzes, but only for the last few minutes after they have had the quiz for a bit and had to think on their own. (And if they didn’t have it filled out, let me tell you, they sure will for next time! LOL)

Try this no prep resource in your class this week!

What do you do in your classroom to help students review verb conjugations?

As always, I hope that you have found this information useful and helpful to you!

Merci,

Amanda
